Sounds familiar? You are on the move by bus or car, the kids are getting bored and also grumpy. You either sit it through or you try to think of a fun activity for the kids. Here you can find ideas for games that you can play anywhere and without great demands.

The forbidden 3

A group of children stands in a circle. The children count off around the circle; the game leader starts by counting 1. The children have to observe the following rules while counting. Each number that contains a 3 is replaced by “tock” Counting goes like this: “One, two, “tock,” four, etc.

Do the opposite

Note: Whoever does something wrong is out. One child is the “leader,” and everybody else has to pay close attention. They’re not allowed to do what the leader does; instead, they have to do exactly the opposite. Example: If the “leader” puts their arms up, the other children have to reach down toward the floor. If they laugh, the other children have to cry.

Guessing jobs

First, name one player as the “game master.” This child thinks of a job, but doesn’t tell anyone. The team has to guess the job by taking turns asking the game master questions. The game master can only answer these questions with “yes” or “no.” Once someone guesses the job, their team wins the round.

Big clocks go tick-tock, tick-tock (slow tick-tock), little clocks go tick-tock, tick-tock (somewhat faster tick-tock), and little pocket watches go tick-tock, tick-tock (very fast tick-tock).
