The Miniature Wonderland in Speicherstadt claims to contain the largest model train system in the world. It truly is a magical place, for young and old visitors alike. All day and night (every 15 minutes), trains drive through the exquisitely detailed landscapes - but fire engines are on the roads, too, and airplanes take off and land.
8 sections have been completed to date: Austria, Knuffingen, middle Germany, Hamburg, America, Scandinavia, Switzerland, and Knuffingen airport.
One can only imagine all the work that went into these worlds. Truly fascinating.
