Dear readers, we’re looking for some beautiful, kid-friendly trips, and we need your advice. Is driving from Phoenix to Denver for our vacation worth it? And for what age of child would this trip be most suitable? (our children are between 6 months and 12 years)

Dear Helen, I’m a huge fan of Denver. There’s something for every age there (fountains for splashing, playgrounds - we found one with an excellent slide - nearby hikes, giant mountains in the background, and the public transportation is outstanding...) There were also plenty of kid-friendly restaurants. Several of the ones we visited had toy corners for the children. I think it sounds like a great idea.
