The museum’s mission is to stimulate a thirst for knowledge, creativity, thinking, and problem solving in younger children. Children’s experiences are expanded through self-led, interactive exhibits and programs, focusing especially on the arts and sciences. It creates a safe and inviting atmosphere where both kids and adults alike can have new experiences and play together.

Play Plus for Kids is an indoor playground for kids from 9 months to 9 years of age. It includes a large “sand room,” a riddle station, three tree houses connected by bridges and tunnels, and much more. For an ideal birthday location, Play Plus for Kids also offers fun features like puppet shows, crafting, and much more.

The Little Rock Zoo is one of Arkansas’ greatest treasures. It was started in 1926 with just two animals - a wolf, and a dressed-up circus bear. Today, the zoo has grown to almost 600 animals and 170 species, some of which are included on the endangered species list.

The Stepping Stones Museum invites kids to have new experiences, and to learn and discover. All of our exhibition areas are designed for kids from 1 to 10, and encourage them to learn about the world through play. Topics include science, technology, art, and culture.
